Jim D. Lucie, Partner

Jim Lucie grew up in the small-town community of Augusta, Illinois. 
Staying true to his rural mid-western heritage, Jim has built his law career in west central Illinois.  In 1970, he joined the law practice of U.S. Collins in Bushnell, IL.  Jim later acquired this practice in 1972, and expanded the practice to Macomb, the county seat of McDonough Co., in 1974. 
Jim graduated from Western Illinois University with a degree in Agriculture Economics before going on to receive his M.S. from the University of Missouri (also in Ag. Econ.); after that, he went on to receive his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Illinois.
In addition, Jim is a charter member of the Alpha Tau Chapter of Alpha Gramma Rho fraternity, and an active community leader involved with the Macomb Schools, McDonough County YMCA, and the First Presbyterian Church.

Lisa M. Scalf, Partner

Lisa Scalf was born and raised in Macomb, Illinois.
After graduating from Macomb High School in 1997, Lisa attended Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg, Illinois, receiving her Associate of Science in Accounting in 1999. Lisa then attended Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Arts in Administration of Justice in 2001. Lisa remained at Southern Illinois University and attended the SIU School of Law, graduating with her Juris Doctor degree and joining the Illinois Bar in 2005.
Lisa is a member of the American Bar Association and the McDonough County Bar Association. Lisa and her husband, Corey Scalf, also an MHS graduate, are happy to be back home. Lisa is the daughter of Larry and Ardell Thompson of Macomb.

Ramon M. Escapa, Partner

Ramon M. Escapa was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico and raised in Merritt Island, Florida. He moved to Camden, Illinois in 1996 and graduated from Rushville HIgh School in 1998
After graduating from High School, Ramon enlisted in the Illinois National Guard, 126th Maintenance Unit, Detachment 1 in Beardstown, Illinois, as a 45B (Small Arms/Towed Artillery Repair). Ramon graduated with his Associate in Arts degree from Spoon River College in 2002. He later attended Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 2004. While working on his Bachelor degree, Ramon was employed with the Beardstown Police Department as a Patrolman and with the Schuyler County Sheriff's Department as a Deputy.
After Completing his Bachelor degree, Ramon taught 6th through 8th grade in an English as a Second Language classroom at Beardstown Jr. High School. Ramon can read, write and speak Spanish fluently. He then attended Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois where he obtained his Juris Doctor in 2008. He was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 2009
Ramon is a member of the American Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association and the McDonough County Bar Association. He is also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #661 in Beardstown, Illinois. Ramon is married to Michelle A. (Thomas) Escapa of Beardstown and they have four children together.

Nigel D. Graham, Partner

Nigel D. Graham was born and raised in Joliet, Illinois. After graduating from Joliet Central High School he attended Lewis University. He graduated from Lewis University with High Honors with his Bachelor of Arts degrees in Philosophy and Criminal Justice. Nigel then attended Loyola University Chicago School of Law where he received his Juris Doctor. While at Loyola, Nigel was an associate editor and staff writer for the Public Interest Law Reporter. In addition to his Juris Doctor, Nigel received certificates in Health Law and Trial Advocacy. He was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 2009.

Nigel moved to Macomb in June of 2009 and worked as an Assistant State’s Attorney for McDonough County. He prosecuted felony, DUI, misdemeanor, and traffic offenses. Nigel has also taught criminal law at Spoon River College.

Nigel is a member of the American Bar Association, the Illinois Bar Association, and the McDonough County Bar Association.
